¹⁷ “Blessed is the one whom God corrects;^(A)
    so do not despise the discipline^(B) of the Almighty.^[a](C)

¹⁵ Though he slay me, yet will I hope^(A) in him;^(B)

³¹ “Suppose someone says to God,
    ‘I am guilty^(A) but will offend no more.

³² Teach me what I cannot see;^(A)
    if I have done wrong, I will not do so again.’^(B)

³⁴ “Men of understanding declare,
    wise men who hear me say to me,

⁴ Tremble and^[a] do not sin;^(A)
    when you are on your beds,^(B)
    search your hearts and be silent.

¹⁰ He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;^(A)
    I will be exalted^(B) among the nations,
